The Contract
Although we will operate under one of three different contract formats. The first option is the preferred contract for both the client and The Kinder Company.
This contract is known as a negotiated "fixed fee" contract. In this contract form The Kinder Company acts as the project manager and consultant to the homeowner. The fee is based on scope of work as represented by the building plans and how long the project is estimated to take. We provide you with reports that include copies of all original invoicing and paper work related to your project. We use our extensive database of highly qualified licensed and insured subcontractors to get a minimum of three bids from each trade.
We then consult with our client to choose the best contract that fits into our schedule and budget. Because the contractor/ project manager is not on a fixed price contract he/she has only their clients best interests in mind. This option has proved over the years to be the best and most economical way to do business for both client and contractor.
